Optimise Images

It may seem a little strange to optimise an image, but in actual fact, images are the one part of a website that will slow it down dramatically. Images are also seen as blank areas by the search engine, so it is important to decrease your images as much as possible, especially on the homepage and Keyword Enriched pages. There are several ways to optimise images to make your website more lean and quicker. One is two prepare images for web use by using Photoshop. This will make the size of the image smaller, allowing for quicker viewing by the users.

Another way is to 'slice' the image, this is again can be done in Photoshop and its basically what it says, you slice the image up into sections allowing the download time to be much quicker.

It is important to name all your images in the HTML coding of the website. Of course the best way it not to have images at all, but that does not make the website very attractive and appealing to your users.

Optimising Text

Optimising the text on a website is top priority and very important, ensuring that keywords are placed where relevant to your business and products ensuring the pages are seen by the search engines, and therefore seen by your users.
